Mitu had always loved living in the small town where she grew up. The people were friendly, the air was clean, and life was simple. But there was always something that bothered her about the town. Something that she could never quite put her finger on. It wasn’t until she started hearing the whispers that she realized what it was.
People in town whispered about a haunted house on the outskirts of town. Some said it was cursed, while others claimed it was the site of a tragic event many years ago. Whatever the reason, nobody had dared to enter the house in decades. But Mitu was curious. She had always been fascinated by the supernatural and wanted to see for herself what was inside.
One night, she decided to sneak out of her house and make her way to the house. She didn’t tell anyone where she was going, fearing that they would try to stop her. When she arrived at the house, she felt a chill run down her spine. The house was old and dilapidated, and it looked like it hadn’t been lived in for years.
Mitu cautiously made her way inside and began exploring. The house was dark and musty, and the floorboards creaked beneath her feet. As she made her way deeper into the house, she began to hear strange noises. She heard footsteps behind her and whispers in her ear, but when she turned around, there was nobody there.
The further she went, the more frightened she became. She felt like she was being watched, and every shadow seemed to move on its own. Then, she heard a loud bang coming from upstairs. She slowly climbed the staircase, her heart pounding in her chest. When she reached the top, she saw a figure standing in the hallway.
Mitu couldn’t make out the figure’s face, but she could tell that it was human. It seemed to be staring at her, and she felt like it was trying to communicate with her. Suddenly, the figure lunged at her, and Mitu felt a sharp pain in her neck. She screamed and fell to the ground.
When she woke up, she was lying on the floor of the haunted house. Her neck was sore, but she couldn’t remember what had happened. She stumbled outside and made her way back to her house, feeling disoriented and confused. When she arrived home, she realized that she had been gone for hours, but it had only felt like minutes.
From that day on, Mitu was never the same. She became withdrawn and paranoid, and she would often have nightmares about the haunted house. People in town whispered that the house had claimed another victim, but nobody knew the truth about what had happened to Mitu. She never spoke of the incident again, and the haunted house remained a mystery, shrouded in darkness and fear.
